stay The Athena Hotel is a nice family run hotel, in a restored Victorian listed building. This is a good quality, comfortable and clean hotel, located in Sussex Gardens, Paddington. This is a high standard budget bed and breakfast hotel, with a lift, limited onsite car parking and some disabled facilities. Well located in a pleasant tree lined avenue seven minutes' walk from Hyde Park, The Athena Hotel is a good choice for those budget conscious travellers wanting comfort, and don't mind a couple of pounds extra per night on their accommodation. relax All rooms consist of: location The hotel is just a kilometre to London's West End and Marble Arch and Oxford Street, London's premier Shopping area, with Knightsbridge and the City not far away. Hyde Park, Madame Tussaud's, and many more attractions are located only a short distance from the hotel. From Paddington Station you can reach Heathrow Airport via the Heathrow Express train, in 15 minutes.The hotels has limited parking spaces at the front of the hotel, the charge is £10.00. However, there is an NCP car park 10 minutes walk away. hotel critic: harrison brown Generally all rooms are to a very pleasant 2 star standard. Bed and breakfast hotel with nice breakfast rooms and good size lift (compared to others in area). On inspection there were some rooms showing small signs of wear and tear, but management ensures me they are attending to these. Bathrooms are reasonable sizes and most contain bathtubs (again, a rarity in this area due to room sizes and building constraints- but always best to request a bathtub if desired, just in case). Best value around £75 double inc English breakfast. Anything over this rate and you may be able to catch a 3 or 4 star special at another hotel for similar money.
